This is a revolutionary 5-day, forty hour, eating disorder treatment week offered in two formats: for adolescents and their parents, and for adults and a support person(s).
This is cutting edge treatment that treats to the patient's traits and addresses the neurobiological and genetic precursors of the illness.
TBT-S is a treatment of doing, not "talking about" things. This is a week where the patient and their support person(s) learn new tools based on the patient's traits and brain responses in order to reduce/eliminate eating disorder symptoms while working with those same traits and additional patient traits to create healthy and productive responses.
This treatment week is not a one-time end-all eating disorder treatment. It is a program that gives patients and their support persons specific tools to aggressively identify and shift the patients' own trait expressions from destructive ED symptoms to productive life responses. TBT-S Treatment week is meant to augment ongoing ED therapy.

Psychology:
The TBT-S Training Institute is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. The TBT-S Training Institute maintains responsibility for this program and its content.
